Applications are invited for Santander and Aston University Masters Scholarships for the academic year 2017-2018. Two £5,000 scholarships are available for successful applicants entering any postgraduate full-time taught masters programs (including the MBA program) at Aston University.

Aston University is a long established research-led University known for its world-class teaching quality and strong links to industry, government and commerce.

For applicants from non-English speaking countries, it is necessary to have taken either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL score of 101) or the British Council IELTS test- score of 6.5.

 

Academic Level

Scholarships are available to postgraduate full-time taught Masters programs (including the MBA program) at Aston University.

 

Eligible Courses

Scholarships are awarded in any of subjects offered by the university.

Applicant Eligibility

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

  • To be considered for the scholarship, you must be a national of any of the following countries:

Argentina, Colombia, El Salvador, Jamaica, Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Bolivia, Cuba, Guyana, Nicaragua, Brazil, Haiti, Panama, Chile, Ecuador, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Surinam, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.

  • If you have an existing UK postgraduate qualification will not be eligible.
  • You must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a postgraduate full-time taught Masters programme commencing at Aston University in September 2016.
  • You will have a strong academic record, having been awarded or expected to complete with the equivalent of:
  • A minimum 2.1 / Upper Second classification in their undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in the UK.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) in their undergraduate an degree from a overseas institution.

Nationality: To be considered for the scholarship, students must be a national of any of the following countries:

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Students must a minimum 2.1 / Upper Second classification in their undergraduate Bachelors degree in the UK.

 

 

How to Apply

Applications should be sent to IntScholarships@aston.ac.uk with the subject title “Santander Masters Scholarships 2017”.

You should include a 500-word essay, outlining why you would benefit from the scholarship and the difference it would make to your studies. You should also include why you would be a suitable person to work with the International Office.

Please also attach a scanned copy of your passport showing your nationality.

 

 

Application Deadline: The closing date for scholarship applications is Friday, June 30, 2017, and the decision of the panel will be final.
