Applications are invited for PhD studentships in Cyber Security. The successful candidates will conduct research as part of the Southampton Cyber Security Academy (CSA).

The CSA provides a unique environment that facilitates use-inspired and multi-disciplinary research, education, training and outreach.

The University of Southampton is a public research university located in Southampton, England. The origins of the university date back to the founding of the Hartley Institution in 1862 following a legacy to the Corporation of Southampton by Henry Robinson Hartley.

Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.

Value of Award

Fees and a stipend of £22,000 per year.


Applicant Eligibility

  • Applications would be welcome from candidates holding good degrees (first class or upper-second class) in a relevant subject.
  • The successful applicants will be expected to work in partnership with industry through the CSA, and this is likely to require UK security clearance.
